Lindsay Lohan will reprise her role as Anna in 'Freakier Friday,' a sequel to the 2003 smash 'Freaky Friday.'
The sequel to the film will be released in theaters on August 8 and will include the actor in a lead role.
Lindsay Lohan stepped away from main parts between 2013 and 2022, despite playing in popular films such as "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls."
During a recent interview, the actress confessed that she took a break from main parts because she "wanted to take a minute."
"I was losing my enthusiasm for making films, and I wanted to live my own life for a while, figure out how to have a more private, real life. "I wanted to wait to get that itch again," she explained.
The Hollywood actor also spoke about being 'pigeonholed' by her previous roles.
"I was so excited to work on A Prairie Home Companion, but even now I have to fight for things like that, which is annoying. Because, while you know me for this, you also know I can do that. So let me! "Give me a chance," Lindsey Lohan urged.
The 'Freakier Friday' actress went on to say, "I need to interrupt that pattern and give folks no choice but to try something new. And if Martin Scorsese contacts me in the future, I will not turn him down."
The Hollywood star went on to say that she hoped to tackle "some more serious, dramatic roles" in the future.
